THE Mahatari Vandan Yojana has sparked widespread enthusiasm among women in Chhattisgarh, particularly benefiting those from poor, middle, and lower-middle-class backgrounds. This initiative, hailed for its timely financial support, has significantly bolstered the confidence and self-esteem of its beneficiaries. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai's effective governance is credited for seamless monthly disbursement of funds under scheme. This month, women received the fifth installment, amounting to one thousand rupees each, directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This financial assistance is not only enhancing their economic independence but also elevating their status within their families.
 
At the Dhamtari Collectorate, Hema Sahu, a member of the Saheli Sangh Self-Help Group, which runs canteen, expressed how the scheme has significantly benefited women in Self-Help Groups. The consistent financial aid enables these women to contributeregularly to economic activities. Hema further highlighted that the funds from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana have enabled women to better manage their children's needs and household expenses. They are now more capable of purchasing essential items and saving for the future, fostering a sense of self-reliance and confidence among them. Likewise, positive results of this scheme are being seen in Korba district too. Geeta Naik, a resident of Korkoma of Korba development block, praised the scheme and said that it is a meaningful effort towards women empowerment.
 
The amount received from the scheme has become a support for needy women in difficult times. She said that by getting Rs 1000 in the account every month from Mahtari Vandan Yojana, it becomes easier for women to fulfill their small as well as major needs. Beneficiary Nayak said that her husband Nilambar Nayak does farming work. She has been receiving money under the scheme for the last 5 months, which she uses to meet her needs as well as her family's, to educate children and to arrange nutritious food for them. Apart from this, they also get food grains at fixed rates through ration card. She said that the confidence of women is increasing due to the amount being deposited in the account every month. At the same time they feel a kind of financial security. Due to which they are able to fearlessly discharge their moral and family responsibilities with a happy heart. Describing Mahtari Vandan Yojana as useful and beneficial for women, she expressed her gratitude to the Chhattisgarh government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Mahatari Vandan Yojana continues to be a beacon of hope.
