SO LEADER of Opposition Mr.Rahul Gandhi indulges
in yet another anti-national diatribe in the US --
this time stating that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra
Modi did not handle the issue properly and that the
country lost 4,000 square kilometers of land to China
during the GalwanValley face-off four years ago. Mr. Gandhi’s
purpose was clear -- to paint the Prime Minister as a weak
leader the country is saddled with. True, Mr. Gandhi has
stated this a few times in the past as well -- and was suitably rebuffed by knowledgeable sources. This time, Mr.
Gandhi chose a foreign country to make the absolutely
derogatory and false statements about India-China border
row, and tried to portray Mr. Narendra Modi as a leader who
compromised national interest.
This is an utter falsehood
and intended for certain politic al effect, no matter the reality. This shameful approach of the Congress leader is absolutely reprehensible, to say the least.
As we come up with the third consecutive editorial statement on the issue of irresponsible but deliberate anti-India
statements by Mr. Rahul Gandhi, we do so on the back up
of the research our team conducted about the details of
how early Indian leadership acted coyly and surrendered
national interest before the aggressive Chinese. The details
from pages of history will enlighten the esteemed readers
about the stark difference between the approach of the Indian
leadership in the early years after Independence and that
of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
Enough evidence has come up during the last several
decades since the 1962 aggression of China to prove how
Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s Government mishandled the crisis and how China grabbed as much as 43,180
square kilometers of Indian territory taking full advantage
of the weak-kneed Indian leadership. Enough evidence is
also available with the current Indian Indian population
how India entered an weapon-to-weapon, man-to-man, eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation with the so-called mighty
Chinese forces in the deep and higher recesses of the
Himalayas four years ago.
Popular memory of the famous
Doka La face-off, too, is still intact when the Indian troops
stood tall and strong against the Chinese forces for seemingly endless lengths of time. And all that happened with
the explicit green signal from the national leadership with
Mr. Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. The Indian forces were brave and strong even in 1962 --
which got proved by later developments. But the national
leadership then was weak-kneed and advised restraint to
its own troops fearing a stronger Chinese retaliation. The
Indian leadership then did not even consider possible
Chinese hostilities despite clear signals to that effect. All
this is recorded in history as authentic detail -- which Mr.
Rahul gandhi wishes to ignore. Obviously, he is least interested in truth and more interested in denting national
integrity by indulging in falsehood -- which our research
proves. Many such attempts have been made successfully
-- only to prove that by 1963, India lost as many as 43,180
square kilometers of its territory to China.
We put these details up so that the perspective is clear -
- about how Mr. Rahul Gandhi is indulging in spreading
utter falsehood about India and its present Prime Minister.
Time it is, therefore, for us to point to him the reality of his
own great-grandfather mishandled the Chinese issue and
damaged Indian interests almost permanently. We would
never want to malign any leader just for the heck of it. Yet,
we find it our duty to bring to fore the facts and figures so
that the larger society knows the reality of history and the
myth of Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s dirty politics.
