A 20-year-old youth died of suicide in Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) on Sunday. The deceased identified as Aditiya Suhane was a 3rd Year, BTech Computer Science student. Cops have registered a case and started investigations. Police have not recovered any suicide note from the deceased. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Nirupa Pandey, Station In Charge Kamla Nagar police station stated that post-mortem has been carried and they have seized a mobile phone.

 

“We have registered a case and are investigating into the matter. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. During investigation we have seized a mobile phone that was recovered from deceased,” she informed. The reason behind the suicide remains unclear. Cops by initiating inquest have registered the case. Additionally, parents of the deceased have been informed and their statements will be recorded after they arrive in the city. Notably, this is the second suicidal case reported from MANIT within a month.
