On Tuesday, the Health Department staff of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on the basis of the address mentioned on the bill/cash memo found in the garbage, found the waste throwers at veterinary medical distributor in Kolar Road Banjari area and agency operator in Karond area throwing medical waste, plastic and other types of garbage at public places. The corporation team then took action for spot fine and collected the amount of Rs 10,000 and Rs 500 respectively, while in Nehru Nagar area, a spot fine of Rs 10,000 was collected from the hotel operator for spreading dirt. Thus, the corporation staff imposed a spot fine of Rs 20,500 on the above three institutions. The corporation staff found veterinary medical waste lying in a public place.

 

On investigation, on the basis of the bill/cash memo found in the garbage, the concerned veterinary distributor Pvt. Ltd. was traced and action was taken to collect a spot fine of Rs. 10,000. Similarly, on the basis of the cash memo found in the garbage lying in a public place in Karod Shivani Homes area, a spot fine of Rs. 500 was imposed on Veera Agency located in Karond. Similarly, when the operator of Swastik Hotel located in Nehru Nagar was found spreading filth in public places, a spot fine of Rs. 10,000 was collected from the concerned operator. The corporation staff also advised the persons related to the above cases to keep the garbage separately and give it separately to the corporation's garbage vehicle and send the medical waste to the incinerator for disposal.
