State is gearing up to host the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025, scheduled for February 24 and 25, at the Indira Gandhi National Human Museum Complex in Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit and launch the state’s new industrial policies. Dr Yadav emphasised the importance of the GIS in attracting both domestic and foreign investment to strengthen State’s economy. He stated that all investors will be treated as special guests and welcomed with traditional Indian hospitality. Key Highlights of the GIS: Inauguration by PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the GIS on February 24 at approximately 10 am, launch of New Industrial Policy: The Prime Minister will also launch State’s latest industrial policy, MP Experience Zone: PM Modi will inspect the MP Experience Zone, an immersive digital walkthrough showcasing the State’s heritage, progress, and future aspirations.
 
International Participation: Over 60 countries are expected to participate, including ambassadors, high commissioners, and consulate generals. Over 130 international delegates, including top industrialists and CEOs, will be in attendance, Registrations and Attendance: Over 31,659 registrations have been received, with 18,736 participants confirming their attendance, ODOP Village: A dedicated village will showcase products from the One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative, Cultural Showcase: The summit will highlight State’s culture, local arts, cuisine, and hospitality, Bhopal Beautification: The city’s lakes and overall aesthetics are being enhanced for the event. Boating and e-battery-operated boat rides will be available at the large lake, Water Sports: Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang has been tasked with organising water sports at Bhopal’s lakes and Sculpture Display: Traditional clay pottery, terracotta handicrafts, and State’s famous sculptures will be prominently displayed. Chief Minister Yadav has directed officials to ensure meticulous planning and execution of the GIS. He stressed the importance of showcasing the State’s investor-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, and investment opportunities. The goal is to position Madhya Pradesh as a leading industry-friendly State.
 
He emphasised the need for seamless co-ordination among departments to make the summit a resounding success. Public representatives from Bhopal expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for organising the GIS in their city. They believe the summit will create more job opportunities for the youth. Dr Yadav emphasised the crucial role of Bhopal’s citizens in ensuring the success of the event and welcomed their suggestions. The meeting regarding GIS preparations was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla, various ministers, the Bhopal MP, MLAs, the Mayor, district panchayat president, the Chief Secretary, and other senior officials.
