During the Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal on February 24 and 25, doctors, paramedical staff, and ambulances have been deployed to ensure medical services. On February 22, over 50 108 ambulance vehicles were dispatched from Jaiprakash District Hospital to various duty locations under the supervision of Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Prabhakar Tiwari. The ambulances, including Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) vehicles, will be stationed at key locations such as the VIP convoy route, main event venue, airport, parking areas, tent city, and major intersections throughout the event. Additionally, extra 108 ambulances from Bhopal and nearby districts have been called to assist with emergency services. Medical teams, including doctors and paramedical staff, have also been assigned to the venues where guests will be staying. Private medical colleges and hospitals have provided medical teams to offer 24/7 support.

A senior team of doctors will be available for emergency medical situations. The health department has ensured that emergency services and ambulances will be accessible within 1 to 4 minutes if needed. Nodal officers have been appointed to oversee different aspects of medical services during the summit, including clinical operations, transport, and co-ordination. A state-of-the-art medical unit has been set up at the main event site with facilities such as ICU beds, cardiac defibrillators, oxygen, ECG, multipara monitors, BP and blood glucose machines. Pathological testing will also be available at the event venue and tent city.

The event locations, including the airport, hotels, tent city, and program site, have been tagged with nearby hospitals for emergency medical services. Contingency hospitals include private hospitals, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), and Hamidia Hospital. Junior Doctors Association President at Hamidia Hospital Dr Gupta, mentioned that in case of any emergency, junior doctors will be ready to serve the public. He further stated that CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari and the Collector have instructed that in case of emergencies regarding health or patient treatment, junior doctors and the medical team from Hamidia Hospital may be called upon to assist. Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, CMHO Bhopal, emphasised that it is an honour for Bhopal to host the Global Investors Summit. All medical arrangements are now in place and will remain operational from the arrival of the first guest until the departure of the last. The Health Department will remain alert and ready for any situation throughout the event.
