Nagpur’s Yogesh Jaiswal and Arya Takone excelled in the recently organised second edition of Khajuraho Marathon at Khajuraho.
The annual event was organised by city’s Adventures And You in association with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB).
More than 600 runners from across the country and Khajuraho participated in the event.
The marathon was organised in 3 race categories: 21 kms, 10 kms and 5 kms.
In the 21kms run, Nagpur’s Jaiswal finished on the podium securing the third spot.
Similarly, in the 5 kms run, city’s Arya claimed the crown.
SK Shrivastava, Joint Director MPTB and KK Singh, Assistant Director, MPTB were present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Mitesh Rambhia was Race Director of the event.
Results: 21kms men: Lakhan Hansdah (Panna), Sachin Hansdah (Panna), Yogesh Jaiswal (Nagpur).
21kms women: Asha Singh (Lucknow)
10 kms men: Surender Malik (Delhi), Atul Singh Hada (Jalgaon), Sanjay Hansdah (Panna). 10kms women: Manjot Kaur (Mumbai), Shweta Khare (Sagar), Dr Veena Malik (Indore).
5kms women: Arya Takone (Nagpur), Khushi Prajapati (Khajuraho), Mahak Bano (Khajuraho).
5kms men: Ashish Dhakar (Khajuraho), Gaurav Kushwaha (Khajuraho), Chandra Shekhar (Khajuraho).
