Madhya Pradesh Hastashilp Evam Hathkargha Vikas Nigam Limited is all set to conduct ‘Mrignayani Madhya Pradesh Hasthshilp Mela’ here at South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) in Civil Lines from March 15 to 23. More than 40 exhibitors will display their products in the expo. This exhibition will consists of weavers especially Chanderi and Maheshwari. Major attractions of the festival will be Chanderi sarees that will be available at the cost starting from Rs 5,000. Innovative and attractive Maheshwar Sarees will also be put on display in the expo, said M L Sharma, Regional Manager.

 

In addition to this, sculptures of Panchadhatu from tribal crafts from Tikamgarh and Betul districts will be available. The objective of the exhibition is to showcase the traditional and modern art and crafts of Madhya Pradesh; promote the work of local artisans; introduce the artist to their connoisseurs and to help artisans develop their skills and explore marketing and design opportunities, said Sharma while addressing a press conferene here on Monday.
