MIDC Industries Association (MIA) conducted a Vendor Development programme on procurement in collaboration with Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) at MIA House, Nagpur, recently. The event served as an essential platform for industry representatives to gain insights into WCL’s procurement procedures and explore new vendor development opportunities.

 

Dr Y V Ramana, General Manager (Materials Management) and HoD, WCL; N V Raghu Babu, General Manager (Materials Management), WCL; Navin Nishchal, General Manager (Materials Management) Stores, WCL; Manish Jha, Assistant Director, MSME; and Vijay Somkuwar, President, DICCI Vidarbha Chapter were present. P Mohan, President of MIA, emphasised the significance of the Government e-Marketplace (GEM) portal, urging vendors and industrialists to register and actively engage in the procurement process. Dr Y V Ramana led a comprehensive session detailing WCL’s procurement framework.
