SHREYAS Gadwe slammmed a fine half century as Electrical (TRD) Department thrashed Accounts (DRM Office) by 76 runs in the ongoing SECR DRM Cup Inter-Department Cricket Tournament being played at SECRSA Stadium Motibagh. The tournament is organised by South East Central Railway Sports Association. Batting first, Electrical (TRD posted 121 for seven in 10 overs, thanks to Gadwe’s 51 runs. Gajendra contributed 26 runs. For Accounts (DRM Office), Vinod took two wickets for 18 runs. In reply, Accounts (DRM Office) were bundled out for 45 runs in 9.3 overs. Harjeet scored 10 runs. For Elect (TRD), Durgesh Maneshwar took three wickets for 14 runs. In another match, Loco Running defeated S&T Department by 14 runs. Loco Running put up 82 in 10 overs with Kirodiial Meena scoring 34 runs. For S&T, Y Tembhre took four wickets for three runs.

 

In reply, S&T were restricted at 68-8 in 10 overs. Tembhre top-scored with 21 runs. Shilesh Kumar of Loco Running took two wickets for 11 runs. Personnel Department beat Workshop Accounts Motibag by 21 runs in another match. Personnel scored 104 for five in allotted 10 overs. Anup Deshpande and Deepak Sharma scored 40 and 20 runs respectively. Khilendra took two wickets for 20 runs.

 

Workshop Accounts were then halted at 83-6. Rakesh Kumar scored 26 for Motibagh Accounts. For Personnel, Utpal Kant took three wickets for 9 runs. In another match of the day, Operating Team beat TMO by seven wickets. TMO managed to score only 52 for six in 10 overs while Operating achieved in five overs. For TMO Vinod scored 15 runs. For Operating Jabrat Pathan took two wickets for 9 runs. Prateek Chawre scored 17 runs for the winning cause.
