Woman’s Day all over the world symbolises contribution of women to the society and our collective gratitude for their immense impact in shaping this world. Keeping the same in view, Army Wives Welfare Association of Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area have planned numerous welfare events to facilitate and uplift women from all walks of life addressing issues such as women rights, female foeticide, gender inequality, domestic violence, sexual harassment. In this series, a successful programme was organised with various activities in Batra Auditorium of Jabalpur Cantonment aimed at honouring the achievements of women and empowering them through knowledge and recognition, on Wednesday.

 

The event was graced by Rajlakshmi Shekhawat, Zonal President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), Madhya Bharat Area. The event was marked by insightful lectures, panel discussion by expert speakers, impactful activities and a heartfelt felicitation ceremony. A series of thought-provoking lectures, addressing various aspects of women’s empowerment, domestic violence, societal perception, addressing sexual harassment and abuse of children and women, work life balance for mental well being, suicide and stress induced eating disorders and stories of rebuilding trust were conducted.

 

These sessions were designed to inspire and uplift the women, fostering an environment of learning and growth. The celebrations were also marked by a special Felicitation Ceremony to honour AWWA awardees and I-Create India for their significant dedication and contributions who serve as role models for others. Rajlakshmi Shekhawat, Zonal President, AWWA Madhya Bharat Area congratulated the women for their outstanding achievements in various fields and expressed her commitment to supporting and upliftment of women in every sphere of life.
