Postgraduate students from the Department of Geology at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) have secured placements in Government services and prestigious Navratna companies. Four students from the department have been selected for esteemed positions. Among the selected students, Samiksha Dandekar has been appointed in the Government Water Authority Department. Sonal Waghmare, Shubham Masurkar and Manohar Raut have been selected as technicians at MECL, a renowned Navratna company.

 

To enhance employment opportunities for geology students, the department has established Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed companies. Through these collaborations, students gain essential industry-specific skills and secure internship opportunities in various organisations. Dr Kirtikumar Randive, Head of the Geology Department, highlighted that these MoUs have significantly contributed to improving students’ employability. The selected students were congratulated by In-charge Vice-Chancellor Dr Madhavi Khode-Chavare, Registrar Dr Raju Hivase, and Dr Kirtikumar Randive for their remarkable achievement.
