OPERATING Department defeated Commercial Department in Super Over in the SECR DRM Cup Inter-Department Cricket Tournament organised by South East Central Railways Sports Association (SECRSA) at its Motibagh Stadium. In the exciting match, Operating’s Ayush Khare took two wickets in Super Over to help his side record thrilling win. Commercial Department posted 87 for seven in 10 overs.

 

Virendra and Nitin Kotulwar scored 35 and 27 runs respectively. In reply, Operating took scored 87 for six in allotted 10 overs taking the match into Super Over Operating scored 11 runs for two wickets. Chasing the target, Commercial lost two wickets in five balls scoring only four runs with Khare taking both the wickets. For Operating Deepak and Jitendra took two wickets each. Saurabh Debnath scored 31 runs for Operating Department. Kundan Kumar of Commercial took two for 14 runs. In another match, Gatishakti beat Diesel Shed by 78 runs. Gatishakti scored 136-7 in 10 overs thanks to Deepak Bhalavi’s 91 runs from 36 balls. Dunsyon Taylor took two wickets. In return, Diesel Shed managed 58-8. Personnel Department defeated against Accounts (DRM Office) by five wickets. Accounts (DRM Office) posted 61-9 from 10 overs.

 

Personnel Department achieved the target in 8.2 overs. For Accounts (DRM Office) Sachin Kanojiya and Vinod scored 11 runs each. For Personnel Department, Pritesh and Utpal Kant took two wickets each Anup Deshpande scored 25 runs. For Accounts (DRM Office) Ujawal Chawla snared a couple of wickets for 15 runs. Loco Running defeated Medical by four wickets. Medical scored 95-3 with Kanhaiya Tekam and Shushant Gupta scoring 46 and 29 runs respectively. Loco Running knocked off the target losing six wickets in 8.1 overs.
