Opposition corners

Hitting out at Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, Opposition members sharpened their voice over deteriorating law and order situation in the State. Since Chief Minister himself holds the charge of Home Department, they were demanding latter’s presence during the discussion on crime related queries. On the eighth day of Assembly session, issues of law & order and police’s negligence were echoed in the House. Highlighting incidents of the Mauganj and Mhow, Opposition slammed Government.
 
Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh said that for the last one year, crime has spread its tentacles and several episodes has shaken the state even police personnel too has become victim, they were killed brazenly. Jaivardhan Singh said that the Mauganj and Mhow incidents were recent examples of the failure of law and order in the State. MLA Abhay Mishra voiced the issue of criminal case registered against him and his son. Initially, the Opposition MLAs hit out at CM Mohan Yadav after Congress MLA Abhay Mishra (Semaria seat in Rewa district) told the House that his family members were being harassed and implicated on fake charges by the police. During the question hour, legislator sought reply in Government rule on providing information pertaining to public interest.
 
Under which section such information should be given. During this session, replying over query of discrepancies in appointments at Bhoj University, Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar ensured the house that cognizance of matter has been taken and orders have been delivered to cancel such recruitment. Since matter of some of the such employees are in the court and due to stay the government has not taken decision only in those matters. There are 5,64,440 complaints registered in CM helpline. While 96,727 complaints of revenue department are pending. other matters regarding police quarters construction and budget allocation to cottage and small scale industries etc. were raised.
