Jitu Patwari, the President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, has written a letter to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, demanding the fulfillment of promises made during the COVID-19 pandemic that remain incomplete. He asserted that numerous pledges made by the Government during the crisis have yet to be realised.
In his letter, Patwari highlighted the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Madhya Pradesh, which resulted in the loss of countless lives. He criticised the government’s handling of the situation and accused them of criminal negligence.
He pointed out that while the Government made several announcements to provide relief to the affected population, many of these promises have not been fulfilled.
Specifically, Patwari mentioned the Government’s pledge to provide Rs 1 lakh to the families of those who died of COVID-19, a promise that he claims has not been honoured. He also raised concerns about the implementation of schemes such as the Mukhyamantri COVID Yoddha Kalyan Yojana, Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Vishesh Anugrah Yojana, Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Anukampa Niyukti Yojana, and
Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Bal Seva Yojana, stating that the benefits have not reached all eligible individuals.
Patwari urged the Chief Minister to ensure that all promises made during the COVID-19 crisis are fulfilled and that relief is provided to the affected citizens. He emphasised the seriousness and sensitivity of the issue, demanding immediate attention from the Government.
