The IIM Nagpur Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (InFED) successfully conducted a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation & Entrepreneurship from March 17 to 21. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 60 faculty members representing various institutions across Nagpur, Gadchiroli, Badnera and Wardha. There were sessions led by renowned industry experts, startup mentors, and academic leaders. Through hands-on workshops, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants gained a practical understanding of startup ecosystems, incubation, and the role of academia in fostering entrepreneurship.
Prof. Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman, InFED & Director, IIM Nagpur, emphasized the significance of such initiatives in strengthening India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Prof. Anoop Kumar IAS (Retd.), Professor of Practice Public Policy & Social Science Former Additional Chief Secretary Government of Maharashtra emphasized on central India needing more and more faculties engaged into the entrepreneurship and innovation area to bring the change in the mindset of the students pursuing it. He also added that “the agriculture sector also provides a lot of opportunities for the startups and he encouraged more initiatives that drive innovation and growth in the field.
Dr Shivaji Shriram Dhawad, COO of InFED, emphasized that the programme marks a crucial first step in advancing the region’s entrepreneurship and innovation agenda.
