To excel in Biology Class XII examination requires a blend of conceptual understanding, memorisation and effective writing.
The key strategies to be focused on are:
- Understand the exam pattern
- Master NCERT Textbook
- Prioritise understanding all concepts in text questions, and diagrams from the NCERT textbook, as it is the primary resource for  the examination.
- Focus on important topics of high weightage, i.e., DNA replication, Mendelian Inheritance, Bio-Reactors, Reproductive Health and Fertilisation, etc.
- Read the explanation given in the textbook and draw a flowchart of what you understand.
- Practice Diagrams And Terminology:
- Practise drawing well-labelled diagrams.
- Ensure you understand correctly and use essential biological terms.
- Use mnemonics for important concepts.

- Write clearly.
- Use bullet points
- Underline the key terms.
- Include well-labelled diagrams to enrich your answers.
- Effective time management
- Allocate specific time slots for each section of the paper to ensure all questions are attempted and revised within the given timeframe.
- Few tips to remember
- Make flashcards on any concepts, i.e., questions on one side and answers on other side.
- Use of diagrams & flowcharts for quick revision.
- Teach someone else. Explaining concepts in simple words to friends for easy recall.
- Solving previous year's question papers for at least 5 years.
Maintaining a disciplined study routine will help you score.
