GoharAbhinav win golds in DPS swimming meet
 
THE duo of Gohar Ibrahim and Abhinav Shahu bagged gold medals in Inter-School Swimming Competition ‘Poolympics 3.0’ hosted by Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur in its state-of-the-art natatorium. While Gohar was best in 50m freestyle event in U-13 boys group, Abhinav won gold in 25m backstroke event in U-11 boys category. The quartet of Tasniya Ali, Eiti Tembhurne, Divita Jaisawal and Sara Khobragade bagged gold in the 4x25m freestyle relay for U-9 girls and the team comprising Hitakshi Jaisawal, Nirvi Tembhurne, Maneet Chhabra and Nirmayee Kurutkar took home gold in 4x50m freestyle relay for U-13 girls.
 
The event was an exhilarating experience filled with action-packed swimming events. Over 150 boys and girls from different schools participated various events under different age groups. The competition was intense and the swimmers were motivated to give their best in pursuit of victory. Kanchanmala Pande, a visually challenged international swimmer, was chief guest of the function. Atharv Sambhaji Bhosle, Sports Officer, DSO was the guest of honour while Amol Raipurkar served as the chief judge. Yogeeta Umalkar, Principal, DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur, welcomed the gathering and encouraged the enthusiastic swimmers to give their best performance. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur, was the driving force behind the tournament, ensuring world-class infrastructure and facilities. Savita Jaiswal, Director of Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, extended her best wishes. List of players who won golds: Anubhav Sharma (25m freestyle Under-9 boys); Shouryaa Chimankar (25m freestyle U-9 girls); Vedika Thakre (50m backstroke U-13 girls); Arhaan Khan (50m backstroke U-13 boys); Shourya Waghmare (50m breaststroke U-11 boys); Bhavi Ajay Rajgire (50m breaststroke U-11 girls); Alyssa Sahare 100m butterfly U-13 girls); Moulik Bawankule (100m butterfly U-13 boys).
