A ten-day workshop on research methodology course organised by the Department of Economics at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Bilaspur concluded at the varsity campus. The workshop was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi from March 17 to 26. The event was made possible due to the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to academic excellence of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal. The valedictory session was graced by the presence of acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Amit Saxena as the Chief guest, along with Registrar Prof A S Ranadive, Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Prof R K Pradhan, Course Co-Director and Head of the Department of Economics, Dr R K Nagwanshi, and the Course Director, Dr T R Ratre. While addressing the gathering, Prof Amit Kumar Saxena appreciated the visionary leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof Chakrawal, highlighting his significant contribution in elevating the university to new heights.

 

He commended the organising team for the successful execution of the workshop and encouraged participants to continue their academic and research endeavours with enthusiasm. He emphasised that the new research methodologies learned during the workshop would be instrumental in advancing research in social and economic studies. Registrar Prof A S Ranadive inspired the participants with his insightful thoughts, stressing that “success cannot be achieved without hard work” and advised them to maintain consistency in their research pursuits.

The workshop provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, equipping participants with advanced research skills and methodologies to enhance their academic and professional pursuits.
