Actresses Tejashree Pradhan and Pooja Kulkarni to be present
The first day of the Hindu New Year is Gudhi Padwa. It is a tradition of Maharashtra to welcome the New Year by erecting a tall Gudhi of joy, expectations, goals and aspirations. With the noble aim of making this tradition known to our new generation, instilling the seeds of this tradition in them and making them carry this tradition and culture forward, a Hindu New Year welcome ceremony is being organised by Shri Siddhivinayak Seva Trust and Navvarsh Abhinandan Samaroh Samiti to celebrate the first day of Hindu new year on Sunday at 6 am.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and famous actresses Tejashree Pradhan and Pooja Kulkarni will be present at this ceremony, informed MLC Sandip Joshi.
A grand procession will be taken out from Tatya Tope Nagar Ganesh Mandir to Aath Rasta Chowk Laxmi Nagar at 6 am on the occasion of Gudhi Padwa. The procession will include the scattering of rose petals from e-rickshaws, DJ, three horses for Lord Shri Ram, Laxman and Sita.
A grand Gudhi will be erected at the Aath Rasta Chowk. Mass Hanuman Chalisa, mass Ram Raksha and mass Aarti will be organised.
MLC Sandip Joshi has appealed to all citizens to participate in this procession and welcome the Hindu New Year.
The New Year's Eve Celebration Committee, consisting of Manoj Deshpande, Gajanan Nishitkar, Jayanta Adamane, Shantanu Yerpude, Kaustubh Khandekar, Darshan Pandey, Manish Jain, Ashish Pusadkar, Prakash Rathkanthiwar, Prafulla Mategaonkar, Neeraj Dontulwar, Amol Vatak, Ajay Daga, Deepak Wankhede, Mangesh Upasani, Kajal Bagdi, Anusya Gupta, Anand Tol etc are working hard to make the event successful.
