Prime Minister Narendra Modi being welcomed at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on his arrival in city from New Delhi on Sunday. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Minister of State Adv Ashish Jaiswal were present. The special flight carrying Prime Minister reached the airport at around 8.30 am. Senior officials from armed forces, revenue and police department were also present to receive the Prime Minister.
From airport, Prime Minister drove to various programmes. He then returned to airport around noon and from there, flew to Solar Industries in a helicopter along with other dignitaries. After returning to airport, Prime Minister took off for scheduled trip to Chhattisgarh.
Meanwhile, the local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put-up hoarding across the route from where Prime Minister entourage was to pass. He had two programmes in city and BJP leaders put up welcomed arches and hoardings at major squares. Hoardings depicting various still photos of PM Modi was put-up on the entire route including Wardha Road fly-over on Inner Ring Road, on Congress Nagar to Reshimbagh route.
The houses on the route of PM’s programme venues was jam packed as curious people tried to catch glimpse of Modi. People did not want to miss out on opportunity and were dazed by the movement of convoy.
