St Aloysius’ Institute of Technology (SAIT), Gaur, marked the occasion of National Science Day 2025 on March 3 and 4, 2025, with the theme ‘Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat’.
The two-day event brought together students, educators, and experts for a series of insightful talks, competitions, and celebrations aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and innovation.
The inaugural day saw an overwhelming 200 registrations, with students of all streams participating in competitions like Static/Working Model, Essay Writing, Debate, Quiz and Scientific Rangoli.
These activities provided a platform for showcasing creativity and scientific knowledge. The day concluded with a fire safety session led by Romil Somaiya, Director, Steelace Industries, focusing on safety in different environments.
On the concluding day, the event continued with guest lectures by Professor Rakesh Bajpai, Head of Post Graduate Studies & Research, Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur and Romil Somaiya, Director, Steelace Industries.
Their lectures underscored the role of scientific innovation in nation-building and the global leadership potential of Indian youth in Science.
The ceremony included welcome speech by Dr. Renu Pandey, Principal of SAIT, objectives of NSD – 2025 by Dr. Rashmi Jaiswal and report reading by Dr. Aradhana Dhanaraj.
Fr. Thankachan Jose, Director, SAIT, emphasized on the importance of nurturing scientific talent. Certificates were distributed to all the prize winners. The function concluded with the vote of thanks given by Aman Singh Bais.
The celebrations successfully highlighted the importance of empowering youth to contribute to India's leadership in science and technology, reinforcing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
