WITH the Prime Minister
Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Bilaspur on March 30, administrative preparations have
gained momentum. The PM is
set to address a massive public
gathering at Mohabhattha village in Belha, where he will also
lay the foundation stone for various development projects.
On Saturday, Divisional
Commissioner Mahadev Kavre,
Inspector General of Police (IG)
Dr Sanjeev Shukla, District
Collector Awanish Sharan, SP
Rajnesh Singh, Bilaspur
Municipal Corporation (BMC)
Commissioner Amit Kumar,
CEO of Zila Panchayat Sandeep
Agrawal, ASP Archana Jha, SDM
Bajrang Verma, and other officials inspected the site for the
event. The team reviewed
arrangements across the 55-acre
venue, including the helipad,
stage, seating, barricading, exhibition site, parking and security
measures. Following the inspection, Collector Sharan and SP
Singh held a meeting with officers, assigning specific responsibilities. With the event just
weeks away,
leaves of officials
have been cancelled, and they
have been directed to remain
stationed at their headquarters
with their phones active at all
times. Collector Sharan outlined
a phased approach to the preparations, covering aspects such as
ground clearance, parking, and
access roads. SP Singh emphasized security arrangements,
instructing heightened vigilance
in and around the venue.
Additional District Magistrate
Shivkumar Banerjee has been
tasked with coordinating the program’s operational duties.
To ensure seamless communication, a temporary office will
function from the residential
premises of the BMC
Commissioner and Zila
Panchayat CEO, facilitating realtime updates for senior officials
overseeing the arrangements.
