THE State Government organised a grand event in Bhopal to mark International Women’s Day, on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav was the chief guest at the event, which was broadcast live across all 16 divisional offices of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC). On the special occasion, hundreds of “Ladli Behna” beneficiaries received the instalment of financial aid under the Ladli Behna Yojana. During the live telecast, public representatives of the city praised the initiative and called it a historic step towards honouring women. A large number of dignitaries, officials and JMC staff were present on the occasion. MLA Ashok Rohani also honoured a number of women on International Women’s Day during a programme organised in Cantonment Assembly.
 
MLA Ashok Rohani distributed eligibility slips to beneficiaries at a camp held in Rani Lakshmi Bai Ward, Raja Gokuldas Dharamshala. Likewise, he also ensured benefits under pension approval letters, the Social Security Pension Scheme, Ayushman Cards for senior citizens above 70 years and a financial assistance cheque of Rs 50,000 under the PM SVANidhi scheme to a number of beneficiaries. A special camp was also organised in Ranjhi to address public concerns and facilitate various welfare schemes.
