THE inauguration of Patanjali’s Mega Food and Herbal Park located in MIHAN on the outskirts of the city will be held on Sunday. The plant will be inaugurated at 10 am in presence of Yog Guru Ramdev, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari; Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and others. It will be the Asia’s largest single-point food processing unit. The food park is equipped with advanced packaging lines and cutting-edge research laboratories adhering to modern industry standards. It is expected to provide employment opportunities to locals and boost the prosperity of nearby farmers. Patanjali’s priority is to provide high-quality products. The processing plant having state-of-the-art facilities will be ideal for extracting juice from oranges, carrots, aloe vera, pomegranates, guavas, etc.

It will also have a facility for making mango pulp. The plant will utilise a zerowaste system, processing not just A-grade oranges but also B and C-grade ones, as well as premature produce and oranges damaged by storms. The plant will generate various by-products, including volatile and fragrance oils from orange peels.
