Raipur,
The utility of a spiritual approach in the holistic development of human life and stress management continues to be helpful even today. Individuals often find mental peace by resorting to spirituality during difficult circumstances. This view was expressed at a lecture on “Life Management through Shrimad Bhagavad Gita” organized by the Chhattisgarh Regional Branch of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Raipur, at the Administrative Academy, Nimora.
Rakesh Chaturvedi, former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) of Chhattisgarh, stated that the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is not merely a religious text but a scientific and practical guide to life management, inspiring one to maintain balance in every situation.
He said that the Gita encompasses fundamental management principles such as leadership, decision-making, introspection, Karma Yoga, and equanimity. He further added that while working in a responsible field like administrative service, individuals often face mental pressure, ethical dilemmas, and complex situations, and at such times, the practice of the Gita’s wisdom provides mental balance and a clear perspective.
Retired officers of the All India Services and active members of the regional branch were present at the program.
The members also shared their experiences on various verses of the Gita and their application in their administrative and personal lives. The program was conducted and the vote of thanks was proposed by Anoop Srivastava, Secretary of the Chhattisgarh branch.
The event was not only an exchange of spiritual knowledge but also conveyed the message of how a balanced and effective work style can be developed in modern administrative life by drawing inspiration from traditional values and texts. S.K. Mishra, Smt. Indira Mishra, C.H. Vehar, and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Alang were prominently present.
