Following directives from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla to crackdown on unlicensed medical practices, the Health Department in Bhopal has launched a stringent campaign against unauthorised clinics. On Friday, under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, a team from the Health Department conducted inspections across several clinics operating without mandatory approvals. During the drive, action was taken against multiple establishments, including Tathastu Dental, Skin Smile Clinic, The Aesthetic World, Cosmo Derma Skin and Hair Clinic, all of which were found operating without registration under the Madhya Pradesh Upcharyagrih and Rujopchar Sambandhi Sthapna Adhiniyam.

These clinics have now been shut down by the authorities.Initial investigations revealed that Skin Smile Clinic and Cosmo Derma Skin and Hair Clinic were offering treatment for skin and cosmetic problems without employing a qualified dermatologist. When asked for documentation, clinic operators failed to present the required papers to the inspection team. Taking immediate action, Dr Tiwari issued notices to these clinics, directing them to cease electricity, water supply, and a conducive business environment shaped by progressive policies,” he noted. He also pointed to the development of major metropolitan regions, including plans to link Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, and Shajapur as part of a broader urban strategy.

Dr Yadav encouraged architects and design professionals to explore opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, underlining the state’s openness to innovation and its commitment to sustainable urban growth. The conference also shed light on the legacy and future direction of the Indian Institute of Architects. Established in 1917 and headquartered in Mumbai, the IIA plays a central role in unifying architects across India and fostering collaborations with both national and international architectural bodies.

The annual event, considered the largest celebration of architectural practice in the country, drew participants from across India and abroad, offering a platform for exchange of ideas and showcasing the evolving role of architecture in shaping modern India.
