Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bhopal District President Ravindra Yati announced plans to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar. Speaking at a district workers’ meeting at the BJP state office, where he lit lamps before portraits of party icons, Yati detailed the events. On April 13, the eve of Dr Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, BJP workers across Bhopal’s mandals will clean his statues and organise a Deepotsav. On April 14, tributes will be offered at the statues, followed by a collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution. Dr. Ambedkar’s statue at Board Office Square, Bhopal, to honour his legacy. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, BJP State President and MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma, State Organisational General Secretary Hitanand Sharma, along with MPs, MLAs, the Mayor, party office-bearers, public representatives, and numerous workers, will participate. The meeting was attended by District General Secretary and Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi, Vice-President Manoj Rathore, program co-ordinators Shankar Makoria, Indrajeet Rajput, Hariom Osari, Mahesh Makwana, Rajendra Gupta, Ashwini Rai, Rajkumar Vishwakarma, youth wing president Ajay Patidar, Nikhlesh Mishra, and other district and mandal office-bearers.
