Congress to take ‘Nyay Yatra’ from Durg to Raipur demanding justice in Mohan Nagar case

In protest against the brutal killing of a minor girl in Durg district and to demand justice for the bereaved family, the Chhattisgarh Congress will launch a ‘Nyay Yatra’ from Durg to Raipur from April 18 to 21.
Addressing a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan in the state capital on Friday, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) President Deepak Baij announced that the march will culminate in a gherao of
Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur on April 21.
Senior party leaders and a large number of Congress workers are expected to take part in the 45-kilometre protest march. Baij alleged that the victim’s family has lost faith in the police investigation and reiterated the
party’s demand for a CBI probe into the case.

As per the family’s demand, a CBI inquiry should be conducted to ensure a fair and impartial investigation,” he said.
Further escalating the demand for accountability, Baij called for the immediate removal of the Durg Superintendent of Police and suspension of the local Town Inspector. He also sought the resignation
