Garha police busted a gang of vehicle-lifters, apprehended four of the five accused including two juveniles and retrieved nine stolen two-wheelers amounting to Rs 9 lakh from them. The arrested have been identified as Guddu alias Prince Vishwakarma (18), son of Nitesh Vishwakarma, resident of
LIC Simplex Company area in Garha, Shahrukh Mirza (24), son of Mirza Rashid Baig, resident of Ratan Nagar, near Ganesh Supteshwar Mandir in Garha (Buyer) and two juveniles while Kartik Sen, resident of Indra Basti, Ratan Nagar in Garha is absconding.
Additional SP, Samar Verma informed this while addressing a press conference, on Friday. He informed that during a vehicle checking campaign, police found that witnessing the vehicles checking, a boy along with two minor boys tried to escape from the spot. On the doubt, police chased them and managed to catch them. In the interrogation, they revealed details of their involvement in a series of two-wheeler thefts.
The police also arrested Shahrukh Mirza, who was involved in purchasing the stolen vehicles.
Garha police have arrested the accused and registered a case under Sections 35(1)(d)(e), 303(2), and 317(2) of IPC and started a search for absconding accused.
The vehicle lifters were apprehended with active working of police team led by SHO, Garha, Prasanna Kumar Sharma comprised of SI Yogendra Singh and Constables Santosh Jaat, Shailendra and Driver Rajeshwar.
