A major accident was averted at Bhopal Railway Station thanks to the quick thinking and bravery of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Head Constable Nitin Amrohi. While Gorakhpur Express (Train No. 20103) was departing from Platform No. 2, Rahul Singh Rajput, a resident of Vidisha, lost his balance and began falling from the footboard of the sleeper coach where he was seated. Stationed on the platform, Head Constable Amrohi immediately sensed the danger and acted swiftly. Without hesitation, he grabbed the falling passenger, preventing him from slipping under the moving train and pulled him to safety.

Due to this heroic effort, the passenger escaped unharmed, averting what could have been a tragic incident. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria praised the constable’s alertness, stating, “Passenger safety is the top priority for the railways. Head Constable Nitin Amrohi’s prompt action is highly commendable and sets an inspiring example for the entire security force.” Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi, West Central Railway’s Bhopal Division remains committed to ensuring passenger safety through continuous vigilance. The railway authorities urge passengers to avoid sitting on coach doors or footboards and to prioritise their safety during travel.
