Gurudas Raut and Imran Khan have been selected in the Indian squad for five-match Twenty20 against Sri Lanka to be played at Bengaluru in Karnataka from April 29, informs Sanjay Bhoskar, President, Vidarbha Disabled Cricket Association
The event, that runs till May 5, will be held under the aegis of Differently-Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI).
DCCI’s selection committee has selected the best disabled players of the country in the team on the basis of their outstanding performance.
First match will be played on April 29 followed by the second one the next day. After a rest day, the third and fourth matches will be played on May 2 and May 3.
There will be no match on Sunday and the final games will be played on May 5.
Raut, of Nagpur city, is a former captain and World Cup winner. He has played an important role in winning many matches for India while Imran Khan of Lonar (Buldhana) made it to the team by performing well at the national level for the last two years. He has left his job for disabled cricket.
