On the day when results of examinations conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education are announced, its official website creates trouble. It gets ‘hanged’ due to increased load. Considering these aspects, Maharashtra’s Information Technology Minister Ashish Shelar asked the Board officials to work on the website issue and take measures so that students do not suffer.
In a joint review meeting in which officials of State Board and Information Technology Department were present, Ashish Shelar asked them to
submit a report regarding improving the capacity and
cyber security of State Education Board websites.
The websites handle SSC and HSC examination results.
On the day of results, lakhs of students log in at a time with a curiosity to check the results. Due to many log ins at a time the webside gets ‘hanged’.
According to the Minister, the Board’s website must undergo regular load-testing and capacity enhancement. He also asked the officials to submit a detailed report on cyber security also.
