Lady Entrepreneurs’ Wing of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIALEW) organised the session on ‘Cyber crime in the digital age: Protecting MSMEs from cyber threats,’ recently, at VIA Auditorium, Nagpur.
Lohit Matani, DCP Zone-I & Cyber, Nagpur, said that in the event of any cyberattack or fraud, a complaint or FIR should be registered by calling 1930. The Maharashtra Cyber Centre has been developed with advanced forensic tools and technology to effectively combat cybercrime.
Nitin Sachdeva, President and MD of Delaplex Ltd, Nagpur, elaborated that MSMEs can enhance cybersecurity by using strong passwords and enabling 2FA, training employees to recognize threats, regularly backing up data, installing antivirus and firewalls, and keeping systems updated.
Earlier, Rashmi Kulkarni, Chairperson – VIALEW gave the welcome address. Shachi Mallick gave opening remarks. Yogita Deshmukh, Secretary, VIALEW proposed a vote of thanks. Sarita Pawar, Poonam Lala, Dr Anita Rao, Vandana Sharma, and Amandeep Kaur Sehemi were present.
