A 3-year-old girl was reportedly raped by her 13-year-old neighbour in the Mowa-Pandri police station area The victim’s family immediately took her to the hospital, and her condition was initially reported as critical, leading to her admission to Kalibari Hospital. Police have swiftly apprehended the minor accused, who was also taken to Pandri Hospital for medical examination. In a press release issued by the police, it was stated that on April 14, in the Pandri police station area, a 13-year-old boy, described as being a delinquent, allegedly called the 3-year-old girl, who lived in his neighbourhood, to his house.

 

There, he is accused of committing rape and obscene acts against her. Following a medical examination of the young victim, a case has been registered against the 13-year-old boy under crime number 76/25, invoking sections 64 and 65 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as well as Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused boy has been taken into custody. Authorities have stated that the initial health check-up of the 3-year-old girl indicated her physical condition to be normal.
