The City Police investigating the Gokulpeth Shootout case have discovered that the Hiranwar gang had been hiding in a two-storey building located in Chamadiya Basti, Kachipura. This building was a hideout for the gang. All gang members were living in the ‘safe house’. According to police officials, the house was built illegally on the Government land. It had many doors at front and back so that the gang members could escape easily in case of a police raid. The police have started checking the documents related to the house to confirm if it was built without proper permission. A request has been sent to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation to provide all the related papers.

 

 

 

A senior police officer said that if the building is found to be illegal, it will be demolished. The officer also confirmed that the Hiranwar gang members were staying there and using the place to plan and run their criminal activities. In the ongoing investigation, police have identified two accused in the murder - Akash Shendre and Siddhu Bharadwaj. It was also revealed that eight attackers arrived on three two-wheelers to target Avinash Raju Bhusari (28), the owner of Sosha Cafe. The shots were fired by Bunty Hiranwar, Babu Hiranwar, and Shakti Yadav.

 

 

Police sources said that the attackers had planned to kill a member or relative of the Shekhu gang on Wednesday. They began their search around 8 pm and continued looking for a target late into the night. The gang had been gathering information about the relatives of the Shekhu gang members for over a month. On Wednesday night, the shooters visited three different locations but could not find anyone. Eventually, they found Avinash Bhusari at his café. One of their associates confirmed Avinash’s presence and informed the gang. The shooters waited outside the cafe, watching for the right moment. When Avinash came out and was eating ice cream, they attacked and shot him.
