Late Umesh Choubey’s mural will inspire generations to work for society: Purohit

“The newly-installed mural of late Umesh Choubey will inspire generations of youths of Nagpur to work for the betterment of society,” said Banwarilal Purohit, former Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, while speaking at the inauguration of mural of late Umesh Choubey, noted journalist and social worker at the Vijay Talkies Square, Umesh Choubey Road, Cotton Market on Thursday.
Gev Avari, former Member of Parliament presided over the programme. Dinanath Padole,
former Member of Legislative Assemble; Dipak Patel, Harshala Patel, and Pradip Choubey,
son of Umesh Choubey and
other family members were prominently present for the
programme.
Banwarilal Purohit, in his address, shed a light on life and work of late Umesh Choubey.
“Umesh Choubey had dedicated his whole life for the service of society. He was always ready to help people,” said Banwarilal Purohit. The former Governor also shared memories of late Umesh Choubey as they lived in same neighborhood since childhood and called his work inspirational for everyone, especially political leaders. “Political leaders should take inspiration from life of late Umesh Choubey and work for improvement of the city like he did,” said Banwarilal Purohit.
Gev Avari, in his presidential address, appealed the organisers to start a lecture series in name of late Umesh Choubey so that his work can be spread and next generations can be inspired. He also said that late Umesh Choubey personified ideal of ‘simplicity’.
He also applauded the organisers for choosing Banwarilal Purohit, a personality who reflects the same ideals of late Umesh Choubey, to unveil the mural of late Umesh Choubey.
At the outset, Manoj Malviya made the introductory remarks. Dipak Patel, Harshala Sable,
Atul Kotecha and Dinanath Padole also addressed the gathering. Nilesh Rahmatkar, sculptor of the mural was also felicitated by hands of dignitaries at the programme.
Rajesh Kumbhalkar, Coordinator of the programme conducted the proceedings, while Harish Deshmukh, Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti proposed a vote of thanks.
Nishant Gandhi, Raman Paigwar, Atul Kotecha, Abdul Qadir, Dyaneshwar Gurao, Sanjay Katkamwar and others were present for the programme.
