Mandar takes MSSC to Dorairajan final
 
Mandar Mahale’s all-round show helped Ministerial Services Sports Club (MSSC) sail into the final of MN Dorairajan Trophy after they beat Medical Representatives’ Cricket Club (MRCC) by 209 runs in the semi-final at SB City College ground on Thursday. MSSC will take on Reshimbagh Gymkhana in the final to be played at VCA’s Kalamna ground from April 19-21. After taking a 74-run first innings lead, MSSC piled up 309-6 before declaring their second innings, leaving MRCC with the onerous task of chasing 384 runs for victory. It proved to be a tall order for MRCC and they folded for 174, handing MSSC a huge win. Sahil Sheikh (3-33) and Mandar Mahale (2-21) were the most successful bowlers. MSSC skipper Mahale, who made 81 and 50 not out and also took four wickets for 57 runs in the match, was adjudged the Best Player.

Medical Representatives’ Cricket Club 1st innings 193 all out in 42.2 overs (Rinku Chhikara 57, Tushar Kadu 42; Sahil Sheikh 4-51, Rishit Panchamiya 4-67, Mandar Mahale 2-36). Ministerial Services SC 2nd innings 309-6 decl. in 62.4 overs (Gaurav Nikam 44, Aman Mokhake 70, Vedant Jajoo 72, Mandar Mahale 50 NO). Medical Representatives’ Cricket Club 2nd innings 174 in 56.5 overs (Atharva Kidey 37; Sahil Sheikh 3-33; Mandar Mahale 2-21). Result: MSSC won by 209 runs.
