IN a moment of professional distinction, ‘The Hitavada’s Raipur News Editor and senior investigative journalist Mukesh S Singh will be conferred the D P Chaubey Memorial Public Relations Award at the forthcoming National Public Relations Day celebration organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Raipur Chapter on April 21. The ceremony will be organised in Golden Tower, NIT Campus, Raipur at 6 pm.
Chairman of PRSI Raipur Dr Shahid Ali informed that Mukesh S Singh is being recognised for his fearless and analytical journalism spanning nearly three decades, with particular impact in uncovering financial crimes, tracking regulatory enforcement and upholding public
accountability through mainstream media.
This year’s theme for National PR Day, ‘The Positive Use of Artificial Intelligence and the Role of Public Relations’ will anchor a thoughtful panel discussion during the event, with experts reflecting on the ethical and strategic intersection between AI and public communication. Among the other awardees Saurabh Sharma will be honoured with Pt Swarajya Prasad Trivedi Memorial Award, Nasim Ahmed will receive Baban Prasad Mishra Memorial Award, S K Roop with Ramesh Nayyar Memorial Award, Dr Kirti Sisodia with Ira Jha Memorial Award, Satyesh Bhatt with Paritosh Chakravarti Memorial Award and Vijay Bajpai will be honoured with Ramshankar Agnihotri Memorial Award.
Chief Guest of the programme will be Varun Sakha Shrivastava while Shuchi Mishra, Head – PR & Communication at BALCO will grace the event as Guest of Honour.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr Dileep Singh Sisodiya, Professor at NIT Raipur. Dr Ali added that PRSI Raipur has hosted the annual honour ceremony for the past seven years, spotlighting individuals who shape ethical and impactful communication. This year’s event, he noted, will blend recognition with rich deliberation on the evolving dynamics of PR in AI era.
