The Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS), an online platform, will soon be operational at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here at Hyderabad House, Civil Lines, to ensure positive action on grievances and representations received from the public during various programmes, like the ‘Janata Darbar’ held by the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the city on Sunday. This system will also enable applicants to receive updates on the status of their applications via SMS. A meeting regarding this was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Sunday, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The PGRS has been developed to ensure appropriate action on petitions, applications, and grievances related to various departments and matters received during various programmes by forwarding them to departments concerned. Asha Pathan, Officer on Special Duty at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, made a detailed presentation on this online system.
Through this online system, received petitions and applications will be categorised department-wise and complaint-wise. These applications and representations will be scanned and sent to the relevant department for necessary action, and the applicant will be informed about this via SMS.
Follow-up will be done with the department concerned, and the applicant will receive information via SMS once their application is resolved. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed satisfaction with this online system, saying that this facility will soon be available for public service.
Vijayalakshmi Bidari, Divisional Commissioner; Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Commissioner of Police; Dr Vipin Itankar, District Collector; Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, NMC; Sanjay Meena, Chairman, Nagpur Improvement Trust; Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director, Maha Metro; and other heads of Public Works, Land Records, Social Welfare, and other departments, were present at the meeting.
