Bhagyashree Naikale, a determined young woman from Dighori has achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 737 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Her journey to
success was not without hurdles. She did not clear the prelims
in her first attempt and missed the CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) cutoff in the second. However, she remained
undeterred.
A former student of St Ursula Girls’ High School and SSG Pareek PG College, Jaipur, Bhagyashree comes from a humble background.
Her father, Rajesh Naikale works as an electrician and her mother, Renuka Naikale, is a homemaker. Despite the odds, Bhagyashree’s perseverance has led her to be selected for the India Revenue Service (IRS).
Not one to settle, she aims higher, wishing to re-attempt the exam to join the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), believing it would offer her more grassroots-level engagement.
She credits her success to constancy, patience and inner calm during her preparation.
Commenting on the exam system, she remarked “The current format is preferable, though changes are needed to level the playing field”. Bhagyashree’s journey is a shining example of resilience, aspiration and the power of quiet determination.
