Staff Reporter :
Sensational revelations have emerged in the murder case of property dealer Ankush Rama Kadu (55), who was killed at Mhada Chowk on Nari Road last Saturday. A woman had ordered contract killing of Kadu for Rs 15 lakh.
The Crime Branch has arrested 12 people in connection with the case, including a woman property dealer. It has been revealed that the murder was being planned for the past month.
The main accused is a woman named Sangeeta Sahare (50),
a resident of Maitri Colony,
Nari Road. She had a long-standing dispute with Ankush over
11 acres of land in Nari. The
matter was already in court. Sangeeta had asked Ankush to settle the issue outside court by paying some money, but Ankush believed the court would rule in his favor and refused the offer.
As a result, Sangeeta decided to get Ankush killed. She, along with her partner Lala Mishra, planned the murder. Sangeeta promised to pay Rs 15 lakhs to those who would carry out the killing.
She asked her car driver Ashwin Khodge (25) to find
people for the job. Ashwin, along with Vilas Nandanwar (39) and Raja Bokde (30), involved more people in the plan. They also brought in Rahul Wagh (32)
to help train four minors to
commit the murder. A total of
Rs 5 lakh was already given to the killers and they were also promised a car and legal help if needed.
For days, Ashwin and Rahul followed Ankush to understand his movements.
Finally, on Saturday, the plan was executed and Ankush was killed.
Police have arrested all 12 accused, including Sangeeta, her driver, her partner, and the others involved. Four minors were also taken into custody. The court has ordered that the accused remain in police custody for further investigation.
