IN Dongargarh, a ropeway accident occurred while BJP leaders were en route to visit the Maa Bamleshwari temple. A section of the ropeway broke and fell during the ride, causing injuries to several leaders.
The mishap is believed to have occurred due to negligence in the ropeway’s maintenance. Following the incident, local administration and police reached the site and began rescue and relief operations. The accident has raised serious questions about the temple administration and ropeway management.
At the time of the accident, former minister Ramsevak Paikra, BJP State General Secretary Bharat Verma, temple committee president Manoj Agrawal and Daya Singh were on board the ropeway trolley. All of them sustained injuries in the incident. Bharat Verma suffered serious injuries and has been referred to higher center in Nagpur for advanced treatment.
According to available information, there were six passengers in the trolley at the time of the accident. Among them were Ramsevak Paikra, Bharat Verma, Daya Singh, and Manoj Agrawal. Bharat Verma is said to have sustained injuries to his hand. The cause of the accident is being attributed to maintenance negligence. Meanwhile, former Home Minister and BJP leader Ramsevak Paikra narrowly escaped serious harm.
