Mah handball team wins

The masters handball team of Maharashtra won gold medal at the recently held 7th National Masters Games. The Games were held at Dharamsala Himachal Pradesh. The Maharashtra team comprised former international handball players from Nagpur. In the final, Maharashtra defeated Kerala 13-8 in age group over 55 years to lift the title. Teams from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal participated in the tournament.
 
In above 50 year, Maharashtra won silver medal. All the players of Maharashtra team were of above 55-60 years of age. They played extremely well and stubbornly brought home the title by showing their skills, team spirit and physical ability. Atmaram Pande had given training to the players. The players dedicated the credit of their success to late Sitaram Bhotmange.
