Two killed in container accident

A driver and a cleaner were killed when their container hit another container whose driver suddenly took a turn near the Pipla tunnel on Jabalpur Highway within Hudkeshwar Police Station limits on Friday morning. According to police, a container truck (MH-04/LQ-4491) driven by Chandrabhan Ramlal Dhurve (30), a resident of Kodazari, district Seoni, MP, was travelling along with cleaner Deepak Shyamlal Parte (23), a resident of Pidkapar, Kurai, district Seoni, Madhya Pradesh.

While they were on the highway, another container truck (KA-51/AH-4668), driven by Tarif Khan Zakir Hussain (31) from Chahalka, Haryana, suddenly made a dangerous turn. As a result, Chandrabhan’s container crashed into the rear of Tarif Khan’s vehicle. Following the crash, both Chandrabhan and Deepak got trapped in the cabin of their truck and suffered serious injuries. They were rushed to GMC&H, where doctors declared them dead. Police registered a case against driver Tarif Khan under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the BNS. The accused has been taken into custody.

Ganja smuggling attempt via air cargo foiled at Nagpur airport

Smugglers have found a new route for transporting illegal drugs - through flight cargo. A major attempt to smuggle ganja was uncovered at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport late Saturday night, when security staff discovered a suspicious parcel containing over 10 kg of the ganja (Marijuana) during routine checks at the cargo section. No entry to waitlisted travellers in 2nd class sleeper bogies

Woes of common travellers has increased manifold with kicking of new changes in rail travel wherein now waitlisted passengers cannot enter even in second class sleeper bogies.
