Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held a meeting on Saturday with senior officers at his official residence in State Capital to review the works of the Revenue Department. He directed the officers to provide quick and easy benefits of revenue services to the common citizens.
Sai gave instructions not to show any kind of negligence in the process of death-transfer and to complete the work within the stipulated time and said that death-transfer in favour of the legal heirs should be ensured on time. While directing the collectors, the
Chief Minister said that if
the transfer is not done within the given time limit, strict action should be taken by fixing accountability of the concerned Patwaris. Chief Minister Sai said that it should be ensured that immediate assistance is provided to the affected families under RBC 6-4.
For this, he instructed to establish effective coordination between various departments and ensure that there is no delay in the proceedings so that the affected families do not have to wander for a long time. He also instructed the officials to keep a constant watch on this. Chief Minister Sai clarified that the Revenue Department is directly related to the general public, hence the negligence of the field staff adversely affects the image of the government.
He directed to give top priority to the disposal of applications received during Sushasan Tihar and ensure quick resolution of all the applications.
He said that the Revenue Court should be mandatorily operated for at least two days in a week and cases should be resolved in two hearings only. Extension of hearing dates should be avoided except in very urgent circumstances. Chief Minister Sai also emphasized on making the diversion process simple and easy by making maximum use of digital technology in rural areas. He directed action against officers and employees, who caused unnecessary delay in undisputed name transfer and partition cases.
While reviewing the digital crop survey, he directed to constitute a joint team of Revenue, Agriculture, Food and Electronics and Information Technology departments to collect accurate information related to land and crops.
Revenue Minister Tankram Verma, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Secretaries to Chief Minister P Dayanand, Rahul Bhagat, Dr Basavraju, Secretary of Revenue Department Avinash Champawat, Chief Executive Officer of ChiPS Prabhat Malik and other senior officers of the Revenue Department were present in the meeting.
