Two female Naxalites were eliminated by Hawk Force jawans during an encounter occurred in the forests of Mundidadar and Ganheridadar under the jurisdiction of Bichiya police station of Mandla district on Wednesday morning. Each of the two female Naxals had a cash reward of Rs 14 lakh on their names. There is also a possibility of other Naxalites getting injured in this encounter. The Hawk Force jawans have launched a search operation to find them.
 
As per information, one of the killed female Naxalites is from Chhattisgarh and the other is from Gadchiroli in Maharashtra. The two deceased Naxals have been identified as Mamta, Rambai Mandavi (29), a resident of Murkudi, Gadchiroli and Pramila alias Mase Mandavi (29), a resident of Sukma, Chhattisgarh. IG, Balaghat Range Sanjay Kumar informed that the Hawk Force team was searching in the forests of Sarai area under Bichiya police station of Mandla district for the Naxals. Meanwhile, the Naxalites hiding in the forests of Mundiridadar and Ganhedidair opened firing on the Hawk Force. The Hawk Force team also started firing in retaliation.
 
The firing continued from both sides for about an hour. However, the Naxalites had to retreat. When there was no retaliatory firing for a long time, a search operation was started, in which the bodies of two female Naxalites were found. During the search, an SLR, a loaded gun, wireless set and daily necessities were found from the encounter site. It may be mentioned that four female Naxalites were killed in Balaghat on February 19 under the Gadhi police station area of Balaghat. All of them were members of Kanha Bhoramdev AB Division of Khatiya Morcha Dal. 
 
CM lauds police team for efforts
 
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, on his social media account, has stated that the State police force is actively carrying out operations to free Madhya Pradesh from Naxal activities. He mentioned that in a fierce encounter in Mandla district, the Hawk Force personnel neutralised two female Naxalites, each carrying a bounty of Rs 14 lakh. The deceased Naxalites have been identified as Pratima and Mamta. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also seized from them. Chief Minister Dr Yadav commended the police personnel for their efforts in eliminating Naxalism and boosting their morale. Reiterating the State Government’s zero-tolerance policy against violent activities, Dr Yadav emphasised that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Madhya Pradesh is actively pursuing the complete eradication of Naxalism. The Chief Minister declared that there is no place for Naxalites on the sacred land of Madhya Pradesh and that this operation would continue relentlessly. He also revealed that in the past year, more than 10 Naxalites have been eliminated in the State.
