A two-year-old girl was killed when a gate fell on her at her house in Shyam Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Ajni Police Station. The deceased was identified as Arya Shivkumar Sen, a resident of Shyam Nagar, Kunjilalpeth. According to the police, the Sen family was living on rent. On March 31, at around 12 pm, the 10-year-old son of a relative and the girl were playing near the gate.

 

When the boy attempted to close the gate, it fell on the girl. She sustained serious injuries in the incident and was rushed to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday night. Ajni Police have registered a case of accidental death. Further investigations are underway.
