Jheel Mahotsav-2025 was inaugurated in a grand manner at the banks of sacred river Narmada on the backwaters of Bargi Dam, on Saturday evening. Grand adventure sports festival will continue till April 20. Jheel Mahotsav was inaugurated at the hands of PWD Minister Rakesh Singh while other senior public representatives and administrative officers were present.
The festival is being jointly organised by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Jabalpur Archaeology, Tourism and Culture Council.
The event will feature a series of adventure activities on water, land and in the air including fly boats gliding between water and air, motorboats slicing through the waters, offering thrill to onlookers, youngsters showcasing driving stunts on water, hot air balloon rides, offering panoramic views for nature lovers.
Inaugural ceremony was marked with cultural performances, including a dance-drama tribute to Maa Narmada by a troupe of Bhairavi Vishwarup.
In order to facilitate tourists, Swiss tents have been set up at the venue for overnight stays.
On the occasion, MLA, Neeraj Singh, BJP, State Treasurer, Akhilesh Jain, Santosh Barkade, District Panchayat Presidents, Sanjay Singh Kushram (Mandla), Asha Mukesh Gontiya, Municipal Corporation Chairperson, Rikunj Vij, Collectors, Deepak Saxena (Jabalpur), Somesh Mishra (Mandla) along with senior officials from both districts were present.
