Khandagale of VIA to participate in workshop in USA

 

VIA Entrepreneurship Forum Convener Abhijeet Khandagale will be participating in the 27th workshop of ‘Space Technology for Socio Economic Benefits’ in USA. Ensuring inclusiveness through space-based applications and space exploration the workshop is hosted by International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and supported by United Nations Outer Space Affairs Office (UNOOSA) in Washington DC, USA.

 

The workshop is scheduled from October 18 to October 20 with the objective of facilitating exchanges on space science, technologies, applications and exploration in support of economic, social and environmental development with a focus on inclusiveness as an underlying factor in sustainable development. Khandagale will be sharing his work through a presentation titled ‘Building resilience using open source technology’, in which he will share about his work on solar physics for ‘Open Source Solar Shield Project’ and speak about use cases in space technology based entrepreneurship opportunities.

 

Khandagale is an entrepreneur and actively contributes to different national and international forums. He has been a fellow for Swachh Bharat Mission, runs a voluntary group NagpurStartups to promote local startups and acts as an Executive Director for Vruksh Ecosystem Foundation, which runs different entrepreneurship programmes in the country, informs a press release issued by Rajesh Vaishya, Sr Executive Officer of VIA.
